Replate adds Chris Cochran to Board of Directors

News alert!

Replate is excited to announce that Chris Cochran will be joining our Board of Directors, offering his background in innovation, sustainability and economics to our efforts in food recovery.

…and of course, his general awesomeness!

As the Founder and Principal of Good Food Advisors and former Executive Director of ReFED, Chris has over a decade of experience working in this space. He’s led a diverse body of environmentally-focused initiatives, from guiding Walmart's global produce business to advising smallholder farmers in Central America.

In fact, Chris still owns a cocoa farm in Honduras (lucky him!)...

On working with Replate, Chris says,

“I'm not only inspired by the mission, but also confident in the approach and capabilities. Replate is transforming the food recovery sector through use of technology (a food delivery app), an innovative business model (recovery-as-a-service with paid drivers) and a focus on healthy and convenient foods (e.g. prepared meals). Replate also has a visionary team that is at once innovative, resilient and fun to work with.”

As for his vision on the future of food recovery, Chris aims to improve accessibility, convenience, health, and choice.

He adds, “I also envision food recovery becoming more integrated with prevention and recycling efforts to provide holistic and seamless food waste solutions to donors. I believe Replate is well positioned as a proven, yet innovative and nimble, platform to design and scale new models of food recovery.”

We’re excited to have you, Chris!
