Another year older, wiser, greener and evolving - isn’t that what makes a birthday? We hope so!
Over the past month, Replate turned seven years old. What began as Maen’s one-man food recovery operation in San Francisco now spans across the U.S., and back to his roots in the Middle East.
Since 2016, we’ve served over 3 million nutritious meals to nonprofit organizations, saving 985 million gallons of water and diverting 3,686 tons of carbon dioxide from the air. We’ve navigated the ups and downs of a pandemic, recession, and industry transformation.
Our work brought us around the country and overseas, to events, workshops and new platforms. And in the process, we’ve grown a little taller and learned a lot - the ambition is only getting grander!

We extended our corporate relationships by partnering with incredible catering companies like Fooda, ezCater and Cater2Me.
We were on TMZ!
We partnered with Beyond Meat to provide additional support for those facing food insecurity during the COVID-19 outbreak.
We supported the Food Donation Improvement Act in Washington, and spoke at the annual ReFED Summit.
We enhanced our platform to include source reduction tools, and better analytics to help clients not only donate food, but prevent waste in the future.
We got merch!
We hosted a food waste prevention youth event with the Golden State Warriors.
We were the official food recovery partner of Expo2020 in Dubai.
We weathered a few storms and are still smiling…
